Inspiring inclusion at International Women’s Day 2024

We are celebrating International Women’s Day 2024 on 8th of March and support inclusion as one of the core values in Cegal to build a workplace where everyone feels they matter. 

Every year, a campaign theme is chosen to celebrate diversity and empowerment for International Women’s Day in March. This year, #InspireInclusion focuses on the importance of diversity and empowerment in all aspects of society. How to use inclusion to break down barriers and create societies where women and all genders are valued and appreciated. 

As the campaign states, “everyone everywhere can inspire inclusion” and we are proud to celebrate this with a range of activities at our respective office locations.

Our contributions 

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we reflect on the theme of inspiring inclusion, which is deeply connected to our core values. 

In Cegal you are seen, heard and appreciated, no matter your gender, position, beliefs, ethnicity or orientation. As a global company with offices in nine countries and employees with more than 40+ different nationalities, we know that a diverse workforce is the key to success. 

We also believe that equity is an important part of being a diverse and inclusive workplace. Therefore, we are working towards attracting more women into technical roles as well as closing the gender pay gap, which still is a reality in 2024. To do this, we are defining where we are now, how to focus on recruiting more women, how to make sure that they want to stay at Cegal, and lastly, the bigger picture of embracing inclusive language, intersectionality, and social responsibility.

Women at Cegal is our network and platform for both professional and social activities for all women in Cegal. Launched in 2019, the network has become a meeting place for all genders in Cegal with the mission of 'Shaping the future workplace'.  

Our values are to connect, inspire, and empower all women in Cegal and shape a more inclusive future for women in technology within our organization.

Cegal is also an ODA platinum partner in the Nordics, which is a network for women in tech hosting a range of activities and mentoring programs. We believe that national initiatives like these are a great way to connect with other females in the industry and empower them to lead the change. Stay tuned on social media for the next ODA event date in Norway at one of our office locations! 

We acknowledge that there is still a way to go for equality between all genders and will continue to work hard towards supporting inclusion, equity, and acceptance.
