I begin my workday by reviewing emails, mainly focusing on updates regarding Jira tasks. It's essential for me to stay informed about the progress made by developers since my last workday. Following this, I strategize the tasks that need to be accomplished, always prioritizing the most critical ones first. Subsequently, I check our Grafana dashboards to ensure that our applications are functioning correctly.
I primarily work with Kafka applications coded in Kotlin/Java, so the tests are also written in these programming languages. Given that we work with large amounts of data, we use other tools like Grafana that allow us to visualize our input and output.
I work as a developer and tester in Team Balance. We are responsible for handling and processing critical data from the Scada system to Statnett used in other systems, mainly those related to balancing the power system. My team is also responsible for calculating the imbalance in the network in real time.

I joined Cegal in February 2013, then known as Sysco. My journey began in Norway through Fredskorpset, now Norec, an exchange program between Sysco AS and Sysco Peru SAC. Initially planned for 3 years, the program aimed to expose participants to different cultures and practices that could be implemented back in their home countries. Despite the original plan, I decided to stay in Norway and have enjoyed my time here ever since. 😍
It's fun to test software and try to find bugs, but even more exciting is to automate the tests.
The best thing about working at Cegal is the work culture, the knowledge sharing, and the departments helping each other when needed.

I have several, but my favorite is TestTalks with Joe Colantonio. I believe it's because he invites well-known testers to talk about various interesting topics for me working with testing.
Some people don't like change, but you need to embrace change if the alternative is disaster.

I am interested in strength training, I have been training since I was 18 years old, and for the last 4 years, I have been training a lot, trying to train at least 3 days a week. 🏅✔️
I enjoy cooking. I read recipes and watch how to make different dishes, if I like a dish from a canteen or a restaurant, I try to figure out the ingredients just by taste, so that I can replicate them. So in my family, I am always the one who says yes when it comes to cooking.👨🍳👨🍳✨
