The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) is a professional association for geoscientists and engineers. Founded in 1951, it is an organization with a worldwide membership (with members active in over 100 countries and territories), providing a global network of commercial and academic professionals.
The association is truly multi-disciplinary and international in form and pursuits. All members of EAGE are professionally involved in (or studying) geophysics, petroleum exploration, geology, reservoir engineering, mining and civil engineering.
The Head Office of EAGE is located in the Netherlands, with regional offices in Moscow, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Bogota.
The organization is committed to promoting the advancement of geoscience and engineering through various activitites, including:
Conferences, exhibitions, workshops and webinars, including the flagship event EAGE Annual Conference and Exibition, which attracts nearly 6,000 visitors from around the world.
Publications: EAGE publishes several journals, books and magazines, including First Break - their flagship magazine.
Educational programmes; short courses, lectures and student programmes.
Through these activitites, the EAGE aims to promote innovation and technical progress and to foster the communication, fellowship and cooperation between those working in, studying or otherwise being interested in these fields.
Cegal and EAGE
