New marketing lead will help boost Cegal’s visibility across the global energy industry

“Cegal has big international ambitions. To succeed, we need a focused and structured effort to become more visible to the world’s leading energy and tech companies,” says Christian Aarvold, Cegal’s new Director of Marketing & Communication.

Christian Aarvold is joining the leadership team to position Cegal as the preferred technology partner for the entire energy sector, both locally and globally.

Aarvold says, “What drew me to Cegal is the company's combination of industry knowledge, technological expertise, and bold ambitions. The company has a solid reputation, has ambitious people, and not least – big views! Now we will speed up the growth. We are going out into the world and becoming one of the leading technology partners for the energy industry. That makes the role of marketing director very interesting, says Aarvold.” 

Aarvold has a broad background in technology and commercialization. He has experience in leading roles in SAP, TGS, and GSGroup. He now comes from the position of Director Demand Generator at Kongsberg Digital.

Cegal is aiming for higher visibility - locally and globally

Aarvold emphasises, “At Cegal, I am allowed to work with important industries constantly facing major changes. Cegal's roots are in the energy industry, and we will continue to deliver technology that creates sustainable solutions, both within traditional energy companies and supporting the green shift.”

In Cegal, Aarvold becomes part of Cegal's commercial team, led by Camilla Magelssen.

“We did not want a generic marketing director, but a person with solid industry expertise, who can explain complex solutions in a way that resonates with different audiences. With Christian, we get a director who can elevate both our visibility and understanding of what Cegal delivers, in the Nordics and globally,” says Magelssen, Chief Commercial Officer at Cegal.

Aarvold adds, “Marketing being part of the commercial team makes sense. It helps us work better together, stay aligned, and keep our focus on shared goals."

Aarvold adds, “Cegal already has a strong foundation in marketing and communications. My job is to build on that and take it to the next level. We must dare to think big, act fast, and work purposefully and structured together with the whole of Cegal to achieve our goals.”
