Apprentices join our teams from day one, combining hands-on experience with real-world challenges. They develop technical and professional skills while contributing to meaningful projects. For many, it’s a big transition, from a set school routine to customer-facing work, navigating a broad tech stack, and adjusting to a professional environment. It’s a steep learning curve, but our managers and mentors are always ready to guide and support.
Our apprenticeship program spans two years and offers a combination of broad and in-depth experience.
- In the first year, apprentices work in Customer Support, where they gain experience across different teams and a variety of customer portfolios. The focus is on end-user support, and the daily work involves close customer interaction, a fast-paced environment, and a wide range of tasks. This provides a solid understanding of service desk operations and practical customer communication.
- In the second year, apprentices continue in Customer Operations, where they collaborate closely with departments that handle more complex technical challenges—often referred to as third-line support. They work within a specific customer domain and are introduced to both major and minor changes in the customer’s technical environment. This offers valuable insight into advanced operations and development, as well as hands-on experience in how we work closely with the customer’s own technical teams.
The combination of a dynamic service desk environment in the first year and deeper technical exposure in the second year provides both breadth and depth in learning and development. The program is designed to give apprentices a strong foundation—no matter which direction they choose to pursue within IT.

We’ve welcomed apprentices for years, and many continue with us in full-time roles. Their contributions have been both meaningful and inspiring. In the UK, we have welcomed two apprentices through a government-sponsored apprenticeship scheme. This initiative is part of a national program supported by the Scottish government, aimed at helping young people and career changers gain hands-on experience while earning a recognized qualification.
The scheme provides funding and support for employers to take on apprentices, covering part of the training and salary costs. It’s designed to bridge the gap between education and employment by allowing individuals to learn on the job, develop industry-relevant skills, and contribute meaningfully to the business from day one.
In our case, the apprentices were onboarded through our training partner QA, and the program specifically applies to Scotland.
