What is C#?

C# (C Sharp) is an object-oriented, multi-paradigm programming language developed and maintained by Microsoft, and launched with Microsoft's .net framework.

The language follows the syntax of the C family, and in recent years known for implementing ideas and models that are widely used and liked by other programming languages.

Unlike C++, C# does not support multiple inheritances, but classes can implement many interfaces. This was chosen to simplify the compilation of C# to the .net CLI. The language was developed for the .net framework and was therefore never intended to be compiled into machine code. Although there are compilers that can do this, none of them are official.

New versions of C# are most often launched together with, but still independent of, .net

Cegal and C#

At Cegal, we are focusing on following the latest technology within several technology stacks. The most important thing for us is to be able to choose the right technology and the right developers to do each individual task.

We have developers in several of our departments and several professional fields who have C# as their primary language in development. This applies to both back-end development in the cloud and application development. We also continuously work to further educate and keep up to date with new developments within the languages and technologies we already have expertise.
