What is Angular?

Angular is a modern open-source TypeScript-based development platform that includes:

  • A component-based framework for building scalable web applications
  • A collection of well-integrated libraries that cover a wide variety of features
  • A suite of developer tools to help you develop, build, test, and update your code
Angular is led by Google and this is one of the major benefits of Angular as it makes it a trustworthy platform with long-term support. Some other pros include an architecture that boosts developers’ productivity and provides high-quality code, high performance, easy updates to the latest versions, a powerful ecosystem providing extra resources, and prebuilt Material Design components that help to create aesthetic UI. With Angular, you’re taking advantage of a platform that can scale from single-developer projects to enterprise-level applications. The main downside of Angular is a hard learning curve that is the inevitable result of the many features Angular provides.
