Petrel* is a software application developed by SLB. It provides extensive support for subsurface workflows undertaken by geologist, geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers across the various phases of oil and gas exploration and production. Petrel allows you to interpret and analyze seismic data, incorporate and interpret well logs and petrophysics, build geological models, build and run simulation models and incorporate production data.
Petrel is a Windows software application that has a large global client base and now also forms part of SLB PetroTechnical suite on Delfi.
SLB’s Ocean API for Petrel has allowed clients and 3rd party software vendors to develop customized 'plug-ins' for Petrel since 2008.
Cegal can offer to host Petrel and any other software applications a customer may use as part of the GeoCloud/Cetegra IT solution, which is a completely vendor-agnostic IT solution. Cegal offers a comprehensive suite of Plug-ins for Petrel as part of the Blueback plug-in portfolio for Petrel. Cegal can also develop customized plug-ins for Petrel.
