What is Oracle Analytics?

Oracle Analytics is a complete suite of Business Intelligence, reporting and visualisation tools. The package can be used as a front-end to meet the needs of an organisation as regards data presentation. Everything from Pixel-perfect reports, interactive dashboards, self-service, visualisation and basic data processing.

Oracle Analytics is integrated not only with over 50 out-of-the-box data sources, but also with Oracle's other data products, such as Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Machine Learning, Essbase, Oracle Spatial Studio, Oracle Fusion Applications, etc.

Oracle Analytics is available in three variants, enabling different types of installation:

  • OAC – Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • OAS – Oracle Analytics Server (on-prem)
  • OAD – Oracle Analytics Desktop

Oracle Analytics is the successor to Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and continues to incorporate the powerful Logical Enterprise Data Model, ensuring consistent use of data and definitions.

The package not only comprises completely newly developed tools, but also builds on a long history of tools previously known by names such as BI Publisher/ XML Publisher, Answers, Visual Analyzer, Data Visualization, Oracle Delivers.
