What is Microservices?

Microservices – also known as Microservices Architecture – is an architectural style that structures an application as a collection of services which:

  • Is highly maintainable and testable
  • Minimises inter-service dependency
  • Is organised around business skills
  • Owned by a small team

The Microservices architecture enables the fast, frequent and reliable delivery of large, complex applications. It also makes it possible for an organisation to develop its own technology stack.

Cegal and Microservices

Cegal has been implementing this in projects for many years, not only amongst our customers, but also in our internal product development. We consider ourselves to be one of the first companies to adopt Microservices in the Nordic countries, as well as being ‘thought leaders’ as regards modern software architectures linked to Microservices.
