Reaching out to the petroleum students

Cegal is focusing on sharing our knowledge of tools for geoscientists. We are proud to be collaborating with young talents and the future geoscience experts at UiS and NTNU.

Cegal´s portfolio of tools for geoscientists is extensive. During September we are presenting Cegal and how we can enhance work processes for the geoscience community at the University of Stavanger (UiS) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). September is a busy month for Cegalians engaged in the student societies.

Thursday 12 September Rocio Navas, Geoscientist and Cristiano Camatel, Tech Sales Geoscientist are giving the Master Students in Petroleum Engineering at UiS and introduction to the Cegal G&G portfolio in the lecture “Basic seismic interpretation”.

During September Bruce Chalmers who works as a G&G consultant, Tonje Braut working with GeoSupport, and Rocio Navas are hosting workshops to help Master students in Petroleum Engineering at UiS attending “Seismic amplitude analysis and inversion” to reach some tasks using Seismic Reservoir Characterization, Blueback Investigator and Rock Physics.

Finally, Cristiano Camatel pays NTNU a visit 24 September. He is giving the Master Students in Petroleum Engineering the same lecture about “Cegal tools in seismic interpretation” and a presentation of Cegal.

These are valuable arenas for Cegal to be present and for geoscientists who want to learn more about how we work with the geoscience domain, you are more than welcome to follow our GeoTech Blog!

We are happy that UiS and NTNU are positive to our involvement with the student communities and look forward to continuing and strengthen this collaboration
